1. Introduction to Face Yoga
What is Face Yoga?
Face Yoga involves exercises and massages that stimulate the muscles, skin, and lymphatic system. Your face contains over 3000 Acupressure/Marma points. We have 45 muscles in the face, but we typically only use a few. Face yoga aims to activate 12 to 15 of these specific muscles to rejuvenate your appearance.
The Benefits:
- Improves Blood Circulation: Brings a natural glow.
- Stops Wrinkles: Smooths fine lines.
- Strengthens Muscles: Tones the face structure.
- Releases Stress: Relaxes facial tension.
- Jawline Definition: Sharpens the jaw.
- Mental Health: Promotes a sense of well-being.

2. Know Your Anatomy
Understanding your face helps you practice better.
- The 3 Zones:
- Upper Face: Forehead, Temporal Region, Eyes.
- Middle Face: Nose and Cheeks.
- Lower Face: Lips, Cheeks, Jawlines.
- Key Muscles:
- Frontalis: Forehead muscle.
- Procerus: Eyebrow muscle.
- Zygomatic Major/Minor: Cheek muscles (The “Smile Muscles”).
- Orbicularis Oris: Upper lip muscle.
- Platysma: The muscle running from the chin down the neck (crucial for preventing double chin).

3. Skin Care & Oil Selection
Before starting your massage, it is vital to know your skin type and use the correct oil.
How to Test Your Skin Type:
- Wash your face (without soap).
- Dry with a towel.
- Wait 30 minutes.
- Oily Skin: If the whole face (Forehead, Chin, etc.) feels oily or has pimples.
- Dry Skin: If all areas feel dried/tight.
- Normal/Combination: A mix of the above.
Recommended Oils by Skin Type:
| Skin Type | Recommended Oils |
| Normal Skin | Kumkumadi, Coconut, Grapeseed, Sunflower, Almond, Olive |
| Dry Skin | Olive, Cold-pressed Coconut, Almond, Argan, Jojoba, Rose |
| Oily/Sensitive | Tea Tree, Neem, Jojoba, Grapeseed |
| Sensitive (General) | Chamomile, Sandalwood, Hemp Seed |
Pro Tip for Acne Prone/Pigmentation: Use Jojoba Oil.

4. Lymphatic Drainage Massage
Great for reducing stress, headaches, acne, sinus issues, and boosting immunity.
The “PHCA” Technique:
PHCA stands for: Press, Hold, Clockwise, Anti-Clockwise.
- Forehead Center: Place your Index Finger in the center of your forehead. PHCA for 10 times.
- Eyebrow Center: Use both hands. Locate the center of your eyebrows. PHCA for 10 times.
- Temporal Region (Temples/Kanpatti): Locate the soft spot near the outer eye. PHCA for 10 times.
- Hairline Point: Find the middle point where your hairline starts. PHCA for 10 times.

5. Targeted Solutions
A. The Double Chin Fix
The Platysma Muscle becomes weak or inactive due to aging or poor posture (like looking down at phones). This causes the skin and fat under the chin to sag.
- Timeline: Can be corrected in 3 months with consistency.
- Quick Exercise: Lift your neck up and stick your tongue out as far as possible. Hold to activate the Mentalis and Platysma muscles.
B. Dark Circle Reduction
- Target Point: The beginning/center point of the eyebrows.
- Technique: Use 3 fingers (Index, Middle, Ring). Place them on the temporal region and gently sweep/drain from under the eye area toward the temples.
- Note: Ensure you do not drag the skin too hard.

C. Full Face Lifting Massage (Collagen Boost)
Perform these for 30 seconds each or 10 repetitions.
- Face Tapping: Gently tap your chin, upper lip, and forehead to wake up the skin.
- The ‘O’ Shape: Make an ‘O’ shape with your mouth and hold. Lift the forehead and chin upwards using your hands.
- Temporal Lift: Place Index and Middle fingers on temples, lift slightly, and make the ‘O’ mouth shape.
- Smile Lift: Place fingers at the corners of your lips. Smile, and physically lift the corners up with your fingers. Hold.
- Neck Lift: Place hands on collar bones (Left & Right). Lift neck 45 degrees, smile, and pout.
- The ‘C’ Shape Stretch: Make a ‘C’ shape with your hands. Place thumb near the nose and index finger near the eyebrow. Stretch vertically (upward direction).
- Eye Tap: Use Index and Middle fingers to gently “Tap-Tap” around the eye orbit.
- Forehead Sweep: Place four fingers at the center of the forehead. Sweep outwards to the left and right (towards temples). Repeat 10-30 times.
